public safety

 I was honored to cast the crucial votes and deliver on the long-promised plan to construct 🚑 🚒 Fire Station 5, and fulfill the need for a sixth fire station to serve neighborhoods near the new hospital through a partnership with Advent Health. Let's build a better future for Apopka!

parks and recreation

 I proudly supported the addition of the Splash Pad at Kit Land Nelson Park and will advocate for additional recreational amenities for all Apopka residents.

transportation infrastructure and planning

 As a City Commissioner, I was proud to support innovative partnerships to improve transportation infrastructure in Apopka. If elected, I will continue to support these partnerships with the County, State and private entities.

FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

  As your commissioner, I gave my full support to our local schools by advocating for improvements to infrastructure for the safety and well-being of Apopka’s youngest residents. I also attended special events and tutored children, activities that I continued as a private citizen. If elected to represent you as your Seat 2 Commissioner, I pledge to continue to advocate for safety and quality of life improvements to benefit our local schools and schoolchildren.

equitable investment and use of grants

 While on City Council, I supported the construction of the state-of-the-art Billie Dean Community Center at Alonzo Williams Park utilizing a $750,000 community development block grant and Basketball Court Resurfacing utilizing a $50,000 recreational grant.  Reinvestment in all neighborhoods is important, as is finding as many alternative funding sources as possible.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

 As a City Commissioner, I cast a vote to approve the Master Development Plan for Apopka City Center, ensuring City staff took every measure to save Highland Manor.  City staff negotiated with FDOT for Improvements to the intersection of US 441 and 436, greatly improving traffic flow in the area.  I also cast votes to ensure the success of future Downtown businesses by twice approving comprehensive changes to the alcohol ordinance, allowing for sit-down restaurants and brew pubs to open up Downtown.
